I am very pleased to know that Japan based Nepalese entrepreneur friends have initiated a project to establish the Everest International School, Japan that will start its academic session in Tokyo from the current year. I am convinced that the new institution named after Mount Sagarmatha (Everest), the highest peak of the world and the pride of Nepal, Truly fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the Nepalese diaspora in Japan to have a Nepalese school that can efficiently provide an appropriate teaching-learning atmosphere to our children.
Nepal and Japan have excellent ties of friendship and co-operation both at state and people’s levels dating back to sixth century when the message of Lord Buddha, an immortal son born in Lumbini in Nepal, reached Japan through various countries of Asia. The establishment of the school is sure to be an important event in the annals of bilateral relations as it would promote better understanding between the people of Nepal and Japan.
I am fully confident that the new institution would get full patronage, support and sustenance from the vibrant and resilient Nepalese community in Japan. I wish the Everest International School all success in its noble endeavors.
